Gaudi-vayshnavizm

Gaudi-vayshnavizm is one of the currents of the ancient Hindu tradition krishnaizma. "Gaudi" comes from the name of the historical province in eastern India - "Gaudadesha", which is found in contemporary West Bengal and parts of Bangladesh. In the early Bengali literature can trace the evolution of understanding of Radhi and Krishna. According to researchers, however, the source of the protagonist's poem Dzhayadevy "Gita-Govinda" remains unresolved mystery Sanskrit literature. At the same time, there are links to more than 20 literary sources dating from the earlier period than "Gita-Govinda". The image of Radhi is one of the most elusive in Sanskrit literature: it is described only in individual texts prakritskoy and Sanskrit poetry is mentioned in several inscriptions, and a number of works on grammar, poetry and drama. In the XII century, the Bengali poet and saint vayshnavsky Dzhayadeva continued that tradition and created a refined lyrical poem of passionate devotion, a poem, which launched the great Bhakti movement in Bengal.

Presumably in 1415 distinguished Bengali poet and singer Barou Chandidas wrote "Sri Krishna kirtan", collection of wonderful songs glorifying Krishna and Radhi. This text is regarded as one of the most important evidence of early maps of popular stories "love to Lord Krishna girl shepherdess Radhi" in Bengali literature and religion. 412 songs "Sri Krishna kirtana" divided into 13 sections. They represented the various variations of stories of Krishna-Radhi, providing excellent material for comparative studies. From the manuscript it is clear that the song had to chant or recite a certain ragi. In academic circles there is some debate about the origin of the text of great religious significance. In the Gaudi-vayshnavizme metaphysical position Radhi and the adoration of her was found in his Krishnadasom Kaviradzhey "Chaitanya-charitamrite". Outlined his doctrine prevailed among the followers of Chaitanya in Vrindavane after the departure of the last in 1534. According to Gaudi-vayshnavskomu theology, Krishna, desiring to test the depth of love that Radhi has it, was on the ground as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - Krishna in the minds of Radhi. The basic assumption Radhi as Chaitanya was vospevanie name for her beloved Krishna.

One samoproyavlennyh Krishna Murthy, Ramana-Radhi, was Gopal Bhatt Goswami. Radhi-Raman revered not just as Krishna, but Krishna-Radhi. Regular Worship Radhi-Raman in the temple, located in Vrindavane, continues to this day, and consists of a daily ritual, The purpose is to obtain opportunities for direct communication with Radhi and Krishna.
